Community, the union organising betting UK shop staff – which has members working for some of the largest employers in the sector such as Ladbrokes, William Hill and Coral Racing – and the Services, Industrial, Professional and Technical Union (SIPTU), Ireland’s largest trade union, have launched a joint initiative to organise workers.

The unions have announced that they will support each other’s organising efforts by sharing information and resources and offering each other practical support at all levels to build membership and organisation in the UK and Ireland.
