Usha Martin Group’s Converso Contact Centres acquisition will create up to 400 new jobs

Usha Martin Group, a manufacturing and telecoms specialist, will create up to 400 new jobs in the UK, following its acquisition of a 76% stake in UK outsourcing services provider Converso Contact Centres for an undisclosed fee.

India-based Usha plans to accelerate its business process outsourcing operations in the UK, India and South Africa.

The group currently employs 4,000 people in India, and 600 in other areas around the world. The partnership with Converso will retain and expand Converso’s existing operation of 230 staff in Southend, and develop its contact centre.
