Pilots working at Virgin Atlantic have demanded that negotiations on a proposed pay freeze be reopened, and have raised the threat of idustrial action, the Times has reported.
The newspaper understands that the union Balpa, which represents pilots, has been consultation with members and discussed a ballot on possible strikes.

In February this year Virgin Atlantic’s 700 pilots were told that their pay would be frozen for a second year.
Virgin announced last year that up to 1,200 staff could lose their jobs in a cost reduction exercise.
