A government efficiency drive will see the Department of Health make cuts of £4.35bn over a three-year period by moving staff out of London, and working to reduce sickness absence levels among employees, according to the BBC.
Teacher training bursaries are to be cut back within the Department for Children, Schools and Families to generate savings of £1.1bn, while the Ministry of Defence will cut costs by £700m, education by £1.1bn and work and pensions by £500m.
