So far we’ve resisted the lure of the international, but just to show that Personnel Today retains a global perspective it is time to draw attention to International Association for Human Resource Information Management.

The site’s aim is to allow its members to achieve strategic objectives through integration of information technology and HR management and it contains a mine of information on systems, hot topics and trends, all put together on an easy-to-navigate site. You can join the organisation from the site but large parts of it offer free access to visitors. On the Web is particularly useful, with everything from a comprehensive listing of HR associations to on-line articles. There are also links to government sites, bulletin boards and chat groups. True to the web mantra of “think global, act global” it has also set up its first international affiliate, IHRIM Australia, and plans to introduce IHRIM Europe in the next few months.
