Older
employees will find it increasingly difficult to balance work and home life,
research predicts.
Many
staff in their 50s and 60s will struggle to balance employment, looking after
grandchildren and caring for elderly relatives, according to the Joseph
Rowntree Foundation.
The
research shows that a declining number of young people in the population
coupled with other factors is forcing employers to retain more older staff.
However
this same age group is facing growing demands on their time to care for other
family members.
