On-line management training will be offered to Institute of Directors members
through its new iod.com enterprise, launched at the conference.
Training modules and live training courses can be e-mailed or sent as videos
directly to an executive’s desk or PC at home as part of the new service.

"Many business executives are still struggling to understand exactly
how the Internet can revolutionise their business and are nervous about
transactions," said chief executive of iod.com Andrew Main Wilson.
"We believe the iod.com brand will provide reassurance."
It will also offer an on-line jobs market, with posts ranging from
secretaries to chairmen, on-line networking and business news. For many
businesses the most significant development will be the bulk purchasing through
e-commerce that iod.com promises to arrange.
