HR director joins B&Q board

HR director Liz Bell has been appointed to the board of home retailer B&Q with immediate effect.

Bell has been responsible for the HR function for the past nine months, reporting to Martyn Phillips, retail operations director. Phillips previously represented HR on the board.

Bell joined the B&Q leadership team four years ago from Rubicon, where she was HR director for clothes chain Principles. Euan Sutherland, chief executive of Kingfisher UK and B&Q, said: “This appointment underpins our strategy to keep B&Q a global leader as a great place to work.”
