Software provider Northgate HR has won a contract to provide a fully-managed service for Racing Post Group, including the delivery of its payroll for 200 employees.
Newspaper publisher Trinity Mirror sold the Racing Post to an Irish investment firm for £170m in October last year. It is looking to establish itself as an independent company, and therefore needed to find its own payroll solution.

Mark Francis, finance director at Racing Post Group said: “The quick and successful implementation of our payroll has helped us clear some hurdles in the process of separating from our former owners. Being able to pay our staff in a timely manner, without creating a headache for our internal finance team or uncertainty among staff, has made the transition very easy.”
