An RAF officer has won his legal claim for under-payment against his employer, the Ministry of Defence (MoD), after computer faults led to thousands of servicemen and women being underpaid.
According to the Telegraph, the long-serving squadron leader decided to take legal action after his pay was mistakenly cut in June 2007. He had previously tried to resolve the issue for several months.

The MoD has now been ordered to repay the unnamed serviceman £3,315 owed to him, along with interest and court costs, after a county court awarded in his favour last month.
The ruling could pave the way for a flood of claims from services personnel who are locked in pay disputes with the Armed Services’ Joint Personnel Administration Centre, which is responsible for paying salaries and pensions.
