Prison service uses podcasts to woo HR recruits

Podcasts are the latest tool to be deployed to help HM Prison Service recruit candidates for HR roles.

Three podcasts, detailing how HR can help to shape the prison service, are now live on the websites Welcome to the frontline and iTunes.

HM Prison Service’s director of personnel Gareth Hadley said the use of this new technology to attract candidates reflected the new shape of HR in his organisation.

He said: “HR plays a vital role in supporting all HMPS staff, who deal with some of the most challenging, difficult and vulnerable people in our society.
