Nine staff have been sacked by Renfrewshire Council for inappropriate use of the internet and e-mail at work.
Another three have been demoted, two have received written warnings and one case has yet to be concluded.

The authority would not reveal the nature of the content being browsed by the staff. A council spokesman said the action was taken following disciplinary hearings. All of the staff are to appeal against the decisions.
The staff were told of the action on Monday night, following council monitoring of internet use.
