Another year has gone and it is time for IOSH members to celebrate their achievements with fellow members, partners and colleagues at the Annual Dinner and Awards Ceremony.

This year’s event will take place at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens and Glasshouses on 16 November. This exquisite masterpiece in the heart of England will host the diamond celebrations including a five-course gourmet menu and award-winning music from around the world. The guest of honour at this year’s event will be minister of state for work Jane Kennedy MP.

IOSH will also be presenting its annual awards to individuals who have distinguished themselves in the health and safety profession. The most prestigious of the accolades is the Lifetime Achievement Award sponsored by Sypol. Inaugurated in 1999, the award honours individuals who have furthered the status and practice of occupational safety and health, made an outstanding contribution to the health and safety of working people and represent the highest professional standards.

Two further awards will be presented on the night: the Practical Project Award, sponsored by Zurich Risk Engineering for the best project from a new corporate member; and the Technician Practitioner Scholarship, sponsored by SHP, for a member joining this category over the past year.
