Edvantage group signs a three year Managed Learning Service contract with Rieber & Søn ASA

by Personnel Today 28 Oct 2010

Edvantage group, an e-learning company and Managed Learning Service provider, has signed a three year contract with Rieber & Søn, a leading supplier of consumer food products, to provide Managed Learning  Services  including Learning Gateway, SaaS Learning Management System, e-learning courses from SkillSoft, Microsoft Office 2007 courses and an employee induction course.

The agreement will enable Rieber & Søn to provide employees with faster access to skills and knowledge by having one common SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) learning platform across the organisation.  Employees login to the learning management system and access carefully selected courses that help them rapidly develop a range of skills that are critical to day-to-day business operations. Edvantage group will also create a bespoke induction course to help ensure new employees are well prepared for their roles in the company.

Nina Skage, Director of Personnel and Organisation Development at Rieber & Søn, explains, “Providing good learning opportunities is essential to building a strong corporate culture where employees are motivated and enthusiastic about developing their skills.  It is important to help them excel in their roles and to help us excel as a company. We are starting with e-learning because it will enable us to provide more training to more employees more cost effectively.”

“We selected Edvantage group because we are confident that they will help us make e-learning a success both during the initial roll-out and afterwards, as the amount of e-learning grows.  Edvantage group has the best offering of learning technologies and courses, and the best understanding of our goals,” concludes Skage.

“We are both pleased and proud to sign this contract with Rieber & Søn”, says Thomas Berglund, CEO of Edvantage group. “Rieber & Søn is an exciting company and we believe strongly that we can support them in their aim to execute their new learning and development strategy going forward.”
