IT
contractors believe they learn the equivalent of two degree qualifications each
year, such is the fast pace and competitiveness of the industry.
A
survey of 500 IT staff discovered that more than three-quarters feel they have
to learn the same as a degree student every six months just to stay ahead in
their job.
According
to the poll the average contractor spends 45 days a year going over news and
opinions in the sector with around 32 days a year spent upgrading technical
skills.
