One
in three fathers-to-be would rather be house-husbands than workers, according
to a survey for Pregnancy and Birth magazine.
It
also finds the majority of men do not wish to continue working full-time after
having children.
However,
the poll of 2,000 pregnant women and their partners shows that financial
worries kept men at work.
Elena
Dalrymple, editor of the magazine, said: "Men want to be fathers just as
much as women want to be mothers.

"Modern
fathers pour their life and soul into fatherhood and should have the same or
similar rights to mothers."
