Businesses
are increasingly beginning to bring training programmes back in-house because
of concerns over quality.
New
research from the Institute for Employment Studies shows that despite lower
costs and more consistency, employers think outsourced training has led to a
decline in quality.
The
survey of 127 firms also showed the almost half were struggling to recruit
training professionals with the right skills.
The
biggest increase in spending was expected to be around culture change and
management development, with corporate universities and e-learning the key
growth areas.
