Electronic job kiosks are set to help the UK’s unemployed

Electronic job kiosks are being installed throughout central London as part
of a new initiative to get more people into work.

The kiosks allow people to pinpoint what vacancies are available in their
area and nationwide at the touch of a button.

Worktrain, a national jobs, learning and careers website, has teamed up with
local authorities and electronic service provider Cityspace, to offer its
services from the kiosks, located in the capital and at pilot locations
throughout the country.

Minister for Work Nick Brown said: "We want to make looking for work as
easy, accessible and convenient as possible.

The pilot is planned to run for six months, making Worktrain available at
115 locations across the UK. The service is free and offers a variety of local
information in collaboration with local authorities.
