Workplace falls costing economy £1.1bn

Injuries
caused by slipping at work are costing the UK economy £1.1bn a year, it is
claimed.

In
light of the claim, the TUC is urging employers to make workplaces safer.

Brendan
Barber, TUC general secretary, said: "Too many employers are ducking the
issue, leaving their staff vulnerable to a painful fall, often leading to time
off work."

workplaces, and found 15,000 incidents in these places alone.
