New
government measures to boost productivity in the UK have received Royal Assent
and will be implemented next year.
The
DTI’s Enterprise Bill contains measures designed to improve the way the
nation’s businesses operate.
Trade
and industry secretary Patricia Hewitt said reforms in the Act will promote an
enterprise culture and drive up productivity.
The
Act sets out to:
 * Deliver a better deal for customers
*
Make the insolvency regime more supportive of enterprise
*
Promote fair competition and dynamic, open markets.
