Health screening set aside for senior staff

Almost 20 per cent of organisations offer health screening to all staff,
according to research by independent health adviser IHC.

The study found that while 92 per cent of organisations pay for directors to
undergo screening and 85 per cent offer managers some screening, only 10 per
cent offered other employees the opportunity to purchase health screening at
the corporate rate.

An analysis of organisations’ choice of health screening service revealed
the most important factor was quality followed by the location of the medical
facility, with value for money third place.

Bupa and BMI dominate the market with 29 per cent each, followed by Nuffield
with 17 per cent. Only 6 per cent of screening was carried out in-house.
