Wood stacking guide
Guidance on the safe stacking of sawn timber and board materials has been
published by the Health and Safety Executive. The revised Woodworking
Information Sheet 2 looks at factors influencing stability, ground conditions,
bearer choice, stack height and banding condition, working practices and
storage area management.
Environment report
The HSE has published a report on the effects of environmental factors on
the leaching rates of biocides from antifoulage coatings. It provides an
environmental risk assessment package and data to underpin computerised risk
assessment models.

Offshore OH in focus
A conference on OH offshore is to be run by the HSE at the Aberdeen Bridge
