Frazer
Jones Award for Innovation in Recruitment and Retention

Has your
team developed recruitment approaches that seek out the most talented staff and
ensure they stay with the organisation? Then why not enter this year’s Personnel
Today Awards?

With the
current backdrop of skills shortages and the war for talent, this award could
not be more timely or important. It is designed to recognise innovative
approaches in selection, recruitment and retention of employees. The judge will
look for an HR team that has adopted a clear approach to selecting employees
and developing, motivating and retaining them in line with strategic
objectives.

Sponsor
Frazer Jones wants to stress the importance of looking at recruitment beyond
the phase of hiring new staff. "Recruitment and retention is one of the
most visible ways that HR can add value to an organisation," says partner
Mark Brewer. "In our view retention is as important as recruitment
although in many organisations less emphasis is put on it, which simply doesn’t
make sense. We see our business as not just hiring but enabling clients to keep
the best available talent."

New
methods of recruitment, measuring and assessing performance, succession
planning and testing competency are among the approaches organisations have
adopted. Other organisations have looked at the terms and conditions they can
offer staff and tailored them to attract the applicants they need. New
technology can often play an important role. If your team has developed strong
approaches to recruitment and retention you should be entering this award.

Entry for
the awards is free.

Closing
date for entries: 15 June 2001
