GAAPweb leads market for qualified accountancy and finance professionals

by Personnel Today 8 Apr 2010
by Personnel Today 8 Apr 2010

This National Online Recruitment Audience Survey (NORAS) proves that GAAPweb is the UK’s leading job site for accountancy and finance professionals with 77% working in an accountancy role, the highest figure of all sites in this year’s survey.

With an average salary of £53,900, GAAPweb attracts experienced finance and accountancy professionals. 84% have five or more years experience, 66% work in a managerial or more senior role and 75% hold a professional qualification.

Of the site’s 84,147 users, 31% are currently working as Finance Directors or Financial Controllers, 11% as Management Accountants, 10% as Financial Accountants and 4% as Financial Analysts.

The NORAS results demonstrate that GAAPweb has proven success of matching the right candidates to the right jobs. 17% of GAAPweb’s candidates have secured interviews or jobs through the site, compared to an average of 4% for other specialist finance and accountancy job sites. This is further confirmed by the fact that 35% of users found the site through word of mouth or recommendation.

Emma Hargreaves, Head of Sales, said: “This year’s independent audit of GAAPweb’s audience gives our clients valuable, factual data on the demographic breakdown of our high-quality audience on which to base their recruitment decisions.”

“To know that 35% of our users were recommended to the site and 17% have secured interviews or jobs from GAAPweb verifies the quality service we provide – not only to candidates but also to employers” concludes Hargreaves.
