Reward
enough
New
Government research suggests that two-thirds of employees would choose a job
which offered off-the-job training over one paying 5 per cent more but without
training opportunities.
The
research was commissioned by the DfEE as part of its relaunch of the National
Training Awards which recognises excellence and demonstrable benefits achieved
through learning.

City
& Guilds has become the only foreign awarding body sanctioned by the
Chinese government to deliver and administer vocational qualifications in
China.
The
first City & Guilds qualification to gain government support is in
retailing and 140 employees from one of China’s largest department stores have
already embarked on the course.
