Ford has suspended three workers at its Dagenham plant in
Essex after they were discovered accessing pornographic material on the net.
The company has launched an investigation after managers
became suspicious of the activities of some workers before Christmas.
“The investigation was sparked after a routine search of the
network to ensure that it was being used for business purposes,” said a Ford
spokesman.
He added, “We do not
believe that any of those involved were visiting websites or trading in
pornographic material. Until our investigation is complete we cannot provide
further details.”
The investigation is expected to last for the next few weeks
with the employees facing dismissal if the allegations are proven.
The Dagenham plant in Essex employs 600 workers.
