Day joined HAS earlier this year as HR director and has been heavily involved in the organisational restructure which resulted in the development of a new customer services division.

Ann Bates has been appointed European HR director at chartered surveyor Jones Lang LaSalle, following the retirement of the previous European HR director, Elizabeth Jones. Bates has over 18 years’ experience in the consulting, technology, financial and professional services sectors and specialises in business transformation, change management and individual and organisational development. Reporting to European CEO, Robert Orr, Bates has led successful programmes in Europe, Asia and North America in a range of businesses, including the BOC group, Hewlett Packard and Cigna International.

Jones Lang LaSalle has taken on Ruth Mundy as UK HR director. She will report to managing director Alastair Hughes and chief operating officer Tass Whittaker. Mundy gained first-hand experience of dealing with HR and transition issues at PricewaterhouseCoopers and brings blue-chip experience and expertise in managing change. Her goal at Jones Lang LaSalle is to align HR with the business strategy to improve service delivery.

Pam Winskill is about to take up the post of HR manager at financial advice experts BDO Stoy Hayward. Winskill joins from its rival accountancy and business advisory firm Grant Thornton, where she was national HR manager. She begins her new job on 4 December and will be responsible for HR services to 1,400 staff in the south east division.
