Tesco distribution drivers in Scotland to strike over depot relocation plans

More than 125 Tesco distribution drivers in Livingston, Scotland, have voted in favour of strike action in a dispute over plans to draw up new terms and conditions as the supermarket giant looks to relocate its distribution depot.

The Transport and General Workers Union (T&G) said 92% of the drivers voted, and 126 were in favour of strike action, with six against. In a second question, 125 union members were in favour of action short of a strike, with seven against.

Talks will continue into next week, and T&G has said it will not yet name any dates for strikes or any other form of industrial action.
