Alan Sugar is said to be considering stepping down from his position as business tsar, after only five months in the job.
Sugar has recently been criticised for his handling of the role and has been accused of dismissing business people who claimed they could not get loans from the bank to keep them afloat as “moaners” who “live in Disneyland”.
Sugar said: “To be perfectly frank, too much negative stuff is really unhelpful.
“I may decide that this is simply not worth it, when you are giving your time free of charge for no agenda.”
When asked specifically if he had considered stepping down he replied “yeah, definitely”.

But the business tycoon, who has an estimated £730m fortune, said he still believes he is the best-qualified person to advise the government on supporting small and medium-sized businesses, the Daily Mail reported.
“I am the man on this subject,” he said. “I don’t think anyone else can give the depth of advice and experience I have had over the years.”
