Angie Risley is stepping down from her role as HR director of Whitbread.
Risley is joining Lloyds TSB in May as its group HR director after 18 years at Whitbread.
She was promoted to the Whitbread board in May 2004 and originally joined the company, which owns Costa Coffee and Premier Travel Inn, in 1989.
Anthony Habgood, Whitbread’s chairman said “We are very sorry to lose Angie but understand her decision to take up the role with Lloyds TSB.

“She has played a huge part in the transformation of Whitbread over the past three years and her contribution to the board will be greatly missed.”
Risley is also a member of the government’s Low Pay Commission.
