Organisations that run first-rate apprenticeship programmes could be in line for an award this June.
The Learning and Skills Council (LSC) has launched its third annual Apprenticeship Awards, and has invited entries for nine categories. These include four for employers and are based on organisational size, ranging from ‘micro’ (with less than 10 staff) to ‘large’ (250 employees or more), plus Apprentice of the Year and Young Apprentice of the Year (for those aged 14 to 16).
Last year, the awards attracted more than 1,000 entries. They are judged on several criteria, including how apprenticeships have benefited the employer and how much support organisations have given their apprentices.
The closing date for entries is 24 February, and the awards event will be held on 15 June at the London Hilton. Prizes have yet to be decided.
