Transport
services firm Arriva has launched an online learning and development system to
provide a programme of e-learning for its 33,000 staff.
The
company has set-up a dedicated e-learning website called the Gateway, which
will bring e-learning direct to the organisation’s managers and staff.
Arriva
has drawn together existing training material and developed a comprehensive
online resource. The website also gives staff access to a range of reference
material and external training.
Mike
Selby, Arriva’s learning and skills acquisition team leader, said: "This e-learning
strategy is based on developing our people’s personal effectiveness, their
know-how and operational expertise, thus improving their effectiveness in
delivering the company’s brand values."
