Supermarket group Asda has unveiled plans to recruit nearly 3,000 new employees across the UK.
Northern Ireland will see the biggest boost from the recruitment drive, with 800 of the new jobs being created in the region.
The move follows strong trading at the first six of the 12 stores that the group acquired from Morrison earlier this year.
But it said it was also investing £10m recruiting an extra 2,000 staff across England, Wales and Scotland, with each of its 289 stores taking on an average of seven new people.
During the coming few days, Asda will open four more stores in Northern Ireland and five in England and Wales, including its largest ever Asda Wal-Mart Supercentre in Milton Keynes.
