The
Recruitment and Employment Confederation is introducing the Employer Excellence
Award as part of this year’s National Temporary Workers Week.
The
award, voted for by temporary workers and their agencies, will be presented to
the employer considered best at integrating temporary staff into the workplace.
Winners
will be announced at the Recruitment Industry Conference on 11 October.
The
award aims to recognise employers that demonstrate how much they value the
contribution temporary staff make, excel in their efforts to help them fully
integrate into the workplace, and utilise the skills and expertise offered by
the temps.
The panel of judges will look at:
• Induction of new temporary staff
• Steps taken to make temporary staff feel like part
of the team
• Ways in which the company recognises the
contribution of temporary staff
National
Temporary Workers Week will be held on 14-18 October.
Other
awards, running for the second year, include the Duty Calls Award for
exceptional nurses and carers, and the One in a Million Award presented to a
temp who has performed above and beyond the call of duty.
