Prime Minister Tony Blair launches a major Disability Rights
Commission campaign tonight at its London headquarters.
The campaign, called Actions Speak Louder than Words, will
challenge employers to go beyond the minimum statutory requirements of the
Disability Discrimination Act.
Speaking to exclusively to Personnel Today this week, the
Prime Minister calls on HR managers to work with the Government to convince
firms that employing disabled people can benefit business performance. Blair
admitted that the Government also needs to address how it can employ more
disabled people in its own workforce.
