Employers count the cost of CV lies

Fraudulent CVs are costing employers millions, according to CV checking company Experian.

It also claims that three out of four CVs have been embellished, while a third contain lies. CV fraud costs companies because employers can be fooled into appointing incompetent staff.

An Experian spokesman said, “CV fraud is a growing problem. Companies in all sectors of industry are starting to realise the damage it can do, both financially and in terms of reputation.”
