Regional food and drink retailer Booths has teamed up with three Lancashire based companies to offer its pre-retirees a series of inspiring workshops that will offer them the information, skills and guidance required for the best chance of a happy, healthy and successful retirement.
This is unlike many other pre-retirement courses currently on offer.
In addition to the focus on crucial financial decisions that need to be made, come retirement, this tailor-made package gives equal importance to the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and diet as well as a positive and motivated outlook of the future.
Diane Pickup, Booths HR director says: “We provide a number of on-going training courses for our staff however we had been looking for the opportunity to offer something a little bit different. We are constantly asked questions by staff on various issues and we thought this course fulfilled all the requirements we were looking for.”
The three companies involved, Palm Financial Care Limited, Creative Academy and Doctor Call are all based in the North West.
Liz Faye Director of Palm Financial Care, who will be delivering the financial section of the programme, said “We are delighted to be working with Booths employees and excited about the positive difference we can make to their quality of retirement on all levels.”
“We designed our programme to be pro-active and empowering. We feel that it more accurately reflects the needs of today’s ‘younger’ and fitter generation of pre-retirees who still feel they have something to give” adds Janet Harrison from Creative Academy.
Fliss Anderson, Doctorcall’s Occupational Health Specialist Nurse at their Manchester Clinic said “Doctorcall are delighted to have been asked to be involved in such an exciting programme with Booths employees. We believe we can provide beneficial and practical advice for employees to help them have a long and healthy retirement.”
