The director of a no-win no-fee compensation firm that sacked its 2,500 staff by text is to face court action by the government.
The Department of Trade and Industry (DIT) is seeking to disqualify Mark Langford, who founded Manchester-based The Accident Group (TAG), as a director.
His wife Deborah is also included in the DTI action. Three other directors are already disqualified.

The company collapsed in May 2003 with debts of £100m.
The Langfords are due in Manchester County Court next month for the DTI hearing along with fellow directors Phil Bird, Barry Neild, Neil Ross and Mike Watson.
