Three prison officers are facing disciplinary proceedings
after a black prisoner at the centre of a report into jail racism was allegedly
victimised.
Remand prisoner Ade Allison claims Brixton staff racially abused
him and kept him locked in his cell unfairly.
In November Judy Clements, the Prison Service’s race
adviser, produced a report on racism in Brixton prison after complaints by
Allison that he had been racially abused.
A spokesman for the Prison Service confirmed that three
members of staff at Brixton prison were under investigation over the alleged
victimisation.
