Unsure where to start looking for car leasing or contract hire companies? Here are 20 of the biggest providers, organised alphabetically. 

A

ALD Automotive
ALD Automotive is a global fleet management company, operating in 39 countries around the world, which specialises in managing international fleets. It offers full service leasing, fleet management, outsourcing, and other services.

Alphabet
Another international fleet manager, which offers a wide portfolio of fleet products, a variety of funding options, along with maintenance, service management, fuel management, accident management, risk management, and vehicle rental.

Arnold Clark Finance
Part of the Arnold Clark Group, a large, family-run automotive business. It specialises in contract hire and vehicle leasing. Clients include corporate businesses, small businesses and Government departments.

Arval
Arval has operated in the UK for over 30 years, and manages over 145,000 vehicles. Services include contract hire, maintenance management, risk management and rental. It also has its own fuel management scheme, with over 1.2 million drivers using its fuel cards.

B

BT Fleet
A wholly-owned subsidiary of BT, which specialises in fleet management plus service maintenance and repair. It manages or maintains more than 75,000 vehicles including cars, light and heavy commercial vehicles and specialist plant and equipment.


C

Citroen Contract Motoring
Part of the car manufacturing giant, Citroen Contract Hire offers a fixed monthly rental scheme, with home and roadside assistance (provided by the AA), and an optional maintenance contract to cover service, repair, breakdown and tyre costs.

D

Daimler Fleet Management
Operates internationally, offering a range of multi-brand leasing options. Services include finance leasing, full service leasing, fleet management, plus a fleet consultancy tool.

G

GE Capital Solutions Fleet Services
Offers asset-based financing and services across a range of industries. Provides vehicle leasing and car fleet management services and has more than 350,000 cars under lease and service management in Europe.

H

Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions
Part of the Hitachi Capital Group, the vehicle arm provides a flexible portfolio of vehicle finance and fleet management services for business car leasing, and commercial vehicle leasing.

I

ING Car Lease
In the UK, ING’s car leasing business runs a 50,000-strong fleet, both cars and commercial vehicles, with customers in private and public sectors. Products and services include vehicle finance, fleet management, risk management, and environmental reporting.

Inchcape Fleet Solutions
Claims to be the UK’s largest independent leasing company, managing a fleet in excess of 50,000 cars. Services include fleet management, contract hire, finance lease, sale & leaseback, in-drive (personal contract purchase), employee car ownership schemes (ECOSs), and fuel cards.

L

Leasedrive Velo
Offers blue chip clients bespoke total vehicle management services. Will work in partnership with fleet managers, or deliver a completely outsourced service. Other services include fleet management, contract hire, contract purchase, finance lease, hire purchase, personal contract purchase, plus sale and leaseback.

LeasePlan
Operates a fleet of more than 1.3 million vehicles and provides leasing and fleet management services in 30 countries. It operates a UK fleet in excess of 125,000 vehicles (including 32,000 commercial vehicles) and provides services to specific market segments through its four brands, LeasePlan, FleetLine, Network and Automotive Leasing.

Leaseway Vehicle Rental
Primarly a commercial vehicle rental businesses, with a fleet of over 18,700 vehicles (approximately 80% commercial), and the remainder cars. Offers collection and delivery, road tax, 24-hour breakdown cover, replacement vehicle cover and all servicing and maintenance.

Lex Autolease
Part of Lloyds TSB, services offered by Lex include contract hrire, fleet management, contract purchase, maintenance, a car ownership programme, finance lease, plus a range of other flexible options.

Lombard Vehicle Management
Works with a wide range of businesses, from single company cars to large commercial fleets, and supplies over 40,000 vehicles each year. Services include contract hire, contract purchase, finance lease, hire purchase, sale and leaseback and a range of other options.

M

Masterlease
West Midlands-based outfit which is responsible for funding and/or managing around 57,000 vehicles. Offers fleet management services, financing options, and sells ex-lease vehicles.

O

Opticar
Toomey Opticar provides online driver management systems as part of an overall fleet strategy that includes a combination of company-owned and employee-owned cars. It’s Optifleet application has been designed to identify an employee’s least-cost solution.

Pendragon Contracts
Part of a large automotive dealer group, Pendragon Contracts is the fleet management side of the business, offering contract hire and other fleet services. Has its own in-house fleet management software company, CFC Solutions.

Volkswagen Group Leasing
The fleet and corporate leasing arm of the Volkswagen Group, offers a multi–marque fleet management service. Provides fleet management, accident management, funding, and rental services, or the total outsourcing of a company’s fleet function.

Z

Zenith Provecta
Independent leasing and fleet management business in the UK, with 26,000 vehicles under its management. Services include fleet outsourcing, contract hire, and employee car ownership schemes (ECOSs).
