Thousands of people from all over the UK will take part in events marking National Customer Service Week. The Institute of Customer Service (ICS) launched the week in 2001 to give workers the chance to celebrate their role as customer service professionals.
ICS communications director Paul Cooper said the aim was to boost standards across private, public and voluntary sectors. “It is clear organisations increasingly recognise how vital customer service is to attracting and retaining business and enhancing reputation,” he said.
