Football
fans are being urged to get their kits on for England’s match against
Switzerland in Euro 2004 to help raise money for charity.
The
‘Get your kit on’ campaign is calling on fans to don their favourite team’s
shirt for the June 17 match and donate £1 to the national mobility charity,
Motability.
The
charity provides more than 380,000 disabled people in the UK with affordable
cars and powered wheelchairs.
A
host of football and television celebrities are supporting the campaign,
including actor John Forgeham, who played Frank Laslett in the television drama,
Footballers Wives.
“As
you know, I sorted out that lot at Earls Park FC, and there were a lot of kit
changes there, says Forgeham. "I’m just asking you to make one kit change
for Motability – get your kit on and wear your football shirt with pride.”
