The entrepreneurial spirit is a state of mind that can be harnessed by large
and small organisations, according to one of the UK’s top female entrepreneurs.
Sahar Hashemi, speaking to delegates at Personnel Today’s HR Directors Club
at the Cabinet War Rooms in London, said that employers should "activate
the entrepreneurial spirit in everyone" and encourage staff to approach
work in a creative and fun manner.
Hashemi co-founded Coffee Republic with her brother Bobby in 1995 and has
built it into one of the country’s most recognisable high street brands.
She said that organisations were now starting to embrace this new
‘entrepreneurial’ approach, and were promoting a different way of thinking
within their business.
"The important thing to remember as an entrepreneur is that if you
can’t find a way, you make a way," she said.
