The
chairman of the Commission for Racial Equality (CRE) has resigned from his
position after pleading guilty to a public order offence.

Singh received a £500 fine after he admitted using threatening behaviour during
a confrontation with police.
The
incident happened outside Lords Cricket ground when Singh clashed with police
following England’s victory over India in a one-day international match.
