The
Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has launched a new guide to preventing
workplace deaths in the construction industry.
Although
HSE figures show the number of workplace deaths has dropped, construction is
still the worst offender with 79 deaths in the past 12 months.
The
guidance is now available on the Working Well Together (WWT) website and
contains links to further information and HSE books. Â
Kevin
Myers, HSE’s chief inspector of construction, said the website was a
significant step forward in the provision of free, easy-to-follow information
for employers in the construction industry.
