Competition Commission’s deputy takes the chair

Professor
Paul Geroski has been named the new chair of the Competition Commission.

Geroski
has been professor of economics at the London Business School since 1991 and is
currently the commission’s deputy chair.

Competition Commission is an independent public body established by the
Competition Act 1998. The commission replaced the Monopolies and Mergers
Commission on 1 April 1999.
