Concrete chief set for massive pay-off

The head of concrete group RMC is in line for a £2.6m pay-off – despite only being in the post since January this year.

According to the Indepedent, RMC chief executive David Munro is expected to lose his job when the company is taken over by Mexico’s Cemex.

The paper reported that while Cemex has not made a formal announcement about jobs at RMC, it is expected that Munro, along and a number of members of the head office team will lose their jobs.

Other employees have been told their jobs are safe only until March.
