Over half
of European companies are looking abroad for job candidates, according to
research by Job Partners.
The
research, called The emergence of eRecruitment as a strategic asset,
shows that 56 per cent of the companies interviewed recruit from abroad.
Julian
Kulkarni, co-founder and director of Job Partners, said, “Companies are looking
abroad to try and recruit to fill skill gaps they can’t fill in their own
country and to help them to develop into new European markets.”
Personnel
and recruitment managers are using multiple recruitment methods with 82 per
cent using five or more channels, and 58 per cent using seven or more. These
include newspapers, agencies, job fairs, and portals. Nearly 100 HR
professionals were involved in the research.
