Deloitte will offer HR advice to the London 2012 Olympics team, a partner at the professional services firm confirmed last week.
A handful of Deloitte consultants from its human capital practice will be seconded to the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games (Locog) as part of its sponsorship deal. Deloitte was recently named the exclusive provider of professional advisory services to Locog, promising cash and expertise in return for the branding.
Heather Hancock, partner at Deloitte, told Personnel Today: “There will be some human capital consulting services provided to Locog, offering talent and remuneration advice.” These people will typically be on 12-month contracts, being managed by the organising committee, but paid by Deloitte, she added.

There will also be the chance for HR professionals from Deloitte’s internal department to work for the Olympics team. “People are very keen to do that,” said Hancock.
She added that the firm’s association with the Olympics was already boosting its HR strategy.
