Department of Health workforce director Andrew Foster is leaving Whitehall to become HR director at Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre Hospitals trust, according to reports.
Health Service Journal reports that Foster will leave the DoH in June after spending five years steering through workforce reforms, including the Agenda for Change pay system.
Foster, who lives in the North-West, was previously an NHS Trust chairman and policy director (HR) at the NHS Confederation.
He told Health Service Journal that his impending departure was in no way linked to recent criticisms about government overspending on pay reforms.
